# I have a Norfolk Pine that I feel needs more watering? But the app…

I have a Norfolk Pine that I feel needs more watering? But the app recommends for me to water in about couple days, even though the soil is dry. I’m not sure how to change the watering schedule or just leave it dry until the app recommends?

Norfolk Pines need watering when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. But they also thrive in high humid conditions so misting frequently could help. I’m still fairly new to this app but if I’m not mistaken the algorithm for watering will begin to correct itself when you mark that you had to water it sooner than it says.

You can complete the task early, there is an option for that on Planta. If you really think that it needs to be watered. Hope this helps.

Go into the plant, and down to upcoming, click the watering and 'complete early'. This is supposed to adjust your schedule. If you notice it doesn't, you can make a custom schedule
