Hello! My pothos are super healthy, but so cramped in their pots! When and how to size up? Thanks!

Biggest indicator of needing to repot is when the roots are coming out of the drainage holes! If you’re not having any health issues I’d leave them in their pots! If you do start having health issues/roots coming out the drainage holes then I’d repot. The rule of thumb with repots is the next pot up should only be 2 inches bigger than the rootball!

I never repot unless it’s starting to struggle (frequent yellowing of leaves or showing roots) outside of that I only repot with one size up.

If the plant is drying out super quickly, that’s a sign that the pot is filling up with roots so it needs to be repotted

Transparent nursery pots are super helpful for being able to see if a plant is root-bound without disturbing it

Thank you! They are not showing any signs of these so I will leave them be for now. I appreciate it so much your advice!
