# Any ideas on how to manage my watermelon slit since it’s getting so…

Any ideas on how to manage my watermelon slit since it’s getting so tall? I put sticks in it to help it grow straight but now it’s out growing them and I want to do something to prevent them from falling/lagging over. Any suggestions are appreciated!

You could give it bigger stakes, prune it back, or try giving it more light!

I would give it a tall u-shaped bamboo trellis to tame it.

So you would wrap in I’m a u-shape?

Yep. I would clip it to the trellis and when it got taller bend it over the trellis and weave it in and out around the trellis.

Or you can transfer it into a hanging basket, unless you prefer the look of the upwards growth. So many options! 🪴

I do like the upward growth! I haven’t thought about hanging it
