# Should I pick off the dead purple flowers from this Flaming Katy or…

Should I pick off the dead purple flowers from this Flaming Katy or just let them drop on their own time? They’ve been hanging on for at least a month, maybe two. The pink flowers are new—bloomed within the past 2 weeks.

Agree with others in dead heading the purple flowers. Also, did you do anything special to get it to bloom again?

After 2 years of using this Planta app, I thought I was ready to care for my plants on my own and didn’t renew the subscription and that’s when the purple flowers started to die. (My other plants were fine.). Earlier this month, I restarted the subscription and started following the advice again and that’s when the pink ones bloomed. :)
