it totally depends on local weather. here on the east coast, i’m able to bring hardier plants out during the day but all of mine have to come in after sunset since night temperatures are still around 30-40 degrees. next week i hope to be able to leave some plants out as our nighttime temperatures will be staying above 50. a good general rule is to only leave your plants outside when temperatures are above 50. most houseplants, tropicals, can’t handle temperatures below 45 or 50 degrees.

besides weather, consider the light your plants will be receiving. full sun outdoors is considerably brighter than full sun indoors or under a grow light. any plants that are in bright indirect light, like in a north facing window, will benefit from being placed in shade outdoors.

Always acclimate the plants too. They’re used to temperature controlled environments so it’s better to take them out early in the morning so they can gradually get used to the temps. Otherwise they might get sad and droopy. It will also increase risk of plant pests but if they are sun loving plants they’ll enjoy being outside.

It’s still WAY too cold at night here. And even once it’s warmer, watch the forecast. We can get freeze at night until June and houseplants tend to do poorly if the temps are below 50 at any given time. Watch for pests when bringing them back in.
