# My Dieffenbachia was very tall but had lost all her leafs from below…

My Dieffenbachia was very tall but had lost all her leafs from below and as a Dieffenbachia they can't regrow from the bottom only from the top, so I cut her down to size and and she only had 3 leafs 😢 so I put her in a glass, she then started to grow new roots 🥳 (picture 1) and then soooo many more (picture 3) then when she had enough I repotted her and now she has 6 leafs with another one on the way !!! 🥳 🎉 just thought I'd share this if anyone has a Dieffenbachia too and having the same problem

did u know that every time u do that u must restart the age of the plant my diffenbachia is 50 years old and has not been cut once unfortunately she doesn’t like to get tall she gets bushy during summer then goes back to max ten leaves for the colder months I did almost kill it once more of it didn’t like the living room being next to my mother it was just her it didn’t like😭😂😂 thrived the moment I move her away from my mothers spot
