# Can anyone tell me what kind of lilies I have I’ve tried doing…

_Posted by Alexis on 2026-08-18_

Can anyone tell me what kind of lilies I have I’ve tried doing research, but it’s really hard to tell with no flower and can someone also tell me why they’re starting to look so rough they were given to me I planted them about two weeks ago I also have some elephant ear plants that I had to trim down because their leaves died. Please give me any information I could use the help. I love my plants 🥲

Colocasias don’t like to dry out at all. I have to water my 4”pot colocasias every other day to keep them moist enough.
My colocasias I got online came with the leaves all trimmed and when I planted them I accidentally trimmed part of the new leaf while cleaning up the mushy stem. These are the first leaves on 2/3 of them and they would not develop at all on days i didnt directly water. They naturally live on the side of lakes and streams in tropical climates (I have hundreds around my neighborhood), and love bright light.
