# Notched my tineke today and I am NERVOUS. I think I’ve finally worked…

Notched my tineke today and I am NERVOUS. I think I’ve finally worked out the kinks of this plant. New growth is looking great! I know I should pull some of the leaves but I can’t stand it being so naked. Shoutout to all the ficus parents who can keep their babies beautiful. This plant has been the death of me.

Mine has black and crust around the leaves from getting bitten, how can I fix it?

I know some people trim the edges but once the leaf is damaged it’s not going to heal. once the leaves are done for I try to remove them.

Is it bitten from pests? If so you’ll want to try to remove them!

No my sisters ferret parkcored up to it when I thought it was out of reach and didn’t see until to late(ferret is ok)

Oh no!! I’m glad the ferret is okay, hopefully your ficus didn’t take too much damage.

This plant has also put me through the wringer recently ! 😭

I had to move mine to a warmer spot in the winter and add a grow light, it was shedding like crazy but it also came with pests so I think that’s where some of the damage came from

I split mine so I messed with its roots now she’s very mad at me 😅 but she was shedding leaves too and now she’s not so I’m still figuring her out 😅
