Hi, planty friends!! I am Morgan, some of you might know me as one of the Planta Plant Experts who has guided you through a care question or two, or celebrated some new leaves with you! 🥳 I am SO EXCITED to be hanging out here and spending more time in the Planta community with you all! 🌿

Here’s what you can look forward to: Photo submission opportunities, fun contests, weekly tips, and hanging out together. I’ll be here for your questions, stories, and plant chats!

This is one of my favorites, mostly because I rescued this beauty from Walmart for $5 and got her back to health. She has no roots so I was almost certain she would die. I think she is a Prince of Orange but had no label

What a great find and the price can’t be beat, congrats. Did that leaf come in more orange? Or did you watch it unfurl? If not, it will help you to understand which philodendron you have by watching the next leaf unfurl and observing the color… Prince of Orange comes in very light in color and orange. Yours looks like it could be a different philodendron. Perhaps, Mccolley's Finale or another hybrid. Here is a pic of my P. Mccolley’s finale. I’m not sure but with my experience with Philodendrons, the new leaves tell all and paint the picture that reveals its true color, which is often connected to its’ name. Just my thoughts,💭. Happy growing.

This is what a new leave coming in looks like, then they kinda fade to orange, then to bright green

Those are beautiful! How old is your Black Bat? How long did it take for you to get your Black Bat to flower? Your HI Pothos (🤔) is gorgeous too. They certainly are giving you back their love and giving you joy for giving them such good care, kudos!

I have had my white bat flower for 3 years now but I got it pretty big. It had about 3-4 leaves when I got it. It was already flowering as well so it was just a matter of maintaining.  
Yes they are very spoiled. Especially these two lol

I would have to say that this Alocasia is my favorite, mainly because my nana gave it to me about 20 years ago and it is very special to me. It has been multiplying on my patio and has been given out to many people as a gift!
