Hi, I just got this Ficus or Rubber Plant. Is this long stem without any leaves normal? Any care tips?

That would be normal for a twisted trunk.

This tree has been trained and the leaves deliberately stripped in order to create the twisted trunk. It’s fine.  
But if you keep it in that dark place you’ll end up losing all leaves. It needs a lot more light than that.
