# Wondering if this girl needs to be in a bigger pot? Do the leaves on…

Wondering if this girl needs to be in a bigger pot? Do the leaves on this type of plant take a long time to unfold. They have been like that for awhile now it’s in a 6x6 inch pot approximately.

Mine seemed to be struggling, unfurling its leaves as well. I mist it more often to help. Sometimes I even help manually, gently helping it to unfurl . They do like a lot of humidity. I think that makes a difference.

I had mine over 2 months and completely looked like it wore curlers lol I was so baffled as to why it would not uncurl. I did do the humidity thing and some did open. But I still have a lot of curls left. I also have a lot of new growth. So I am just being patient with it. It’s healthy so I’m not worrying about it… for now. I was told to try a warm rag softly applied. I haven’t stopped to try it yet. But maybe this weekend when I do my water ritual I’ll try it. 150+ plants so as long as it isn’t going south I figure this plant might just be this… should have been called a “Shirley Temple” lol with all them curls!  
Let me know what worked for you if you get them opened. 🙂

Too dry soil, too low humidity and low light can slow the unfurling. The leaves don’t look dry. Add a humidifier to soften the new growth. Increase the lighting, if needed.🪴🍀
