But I talked with my brother and he’s interested in finding a place as roommates, since he had moved back in with our folks last Fall. I’m glad I’m not alone in this, or having to try to squeeze myself into our parents’ house too 😳 Man this is not how I thought 2024 was going to go…. I had to move out of my ex’s house with less than a week notice when he decided that respect was for men and dogs but not women 🤦🏼‍♀️ Terrible circumstances and I didn’t love that I had to call my mom for help when I realized how quickly I had to be gone, but man did it show me how big of a support system I had (even though my local support system was virtually nonexistent). That’s quite the decision on his part 😑 Glad your people showed up and treated you better. I don’t have the best relationship with my mom, but we’ve both been doing a lot of personal work since I’ve moved out. So I’m glad for that, and relieved to have her mobilizing the forces to help me figure this out My friends and family are suggesting a plant purge before I pack up, which of course would be wise. But I’m going to try to keep my collection if I can 😅 The plants were kind of a sore spot in the relationship, so it would feel like insult to injury if I couldn’t keep all my favorites even after I’m on my own. But I have to remember not to let my attitude get in the way of what’s actually best for me lol On the bright side, this past Valentine’s Day, I was jealous of everyone who got plants as gifts because my partner had said he wouldn’t want to gift me a plant. So now I guess there’s hope that someday I’ll be one of the folks waking up to a wishlist plant for V day or another occasion 😌 #### PlantLady님이 2024-04-01에 답변했습니다. My boyfriend now makes me FaceTime him when I get excited about my plants so he can see what I’m geeking out about too, and he insists on buying me plants when I see one I love. Thanks! Being 13 has its ups and downs too, to be fair. People like to say they wish they could go back and start over. But I’m not sure I need to re-live middle school lol. Maybe just the good parts Luckily it’s not actually my first time moving this many plants. It is a pain, for sure, but at least I’ve got some strategies now. Super glad I don’t have to move my plants in freezing weather like I had to with my best friend’s collection a few years ago. That was extra stressful and we had to do it all in one day!
