# I live in northwest NJ. It’s getting cold here, and my outdoor plants…

I live in northwest NJ. It’s getting cold here, and my outdoor plants are going to go dormant for the winter soon. Planta keeps notifying me of task like pinching flowers or fertilizing and watering, and I’m not going to be doing these anymore until next spring. How do I get the notifications to stop?

I’m surprised it’s reminding you to do this based on your location and time of year. That’s weird.

I thought so too! I was like wth when is Planta going to let my plants go dormant. It’s also telling me to pinch flowers from my outdoor plants. We had frost the other night!
