# Hi I was given a prince of orange plant and its not doing very well…

Hi I was given a prince of orange plant and its not doing very well its very floppy I've had to cut off 3 big leaves and im not sure how to take care of it any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Oh nooo!! Have you got your magnifying 🔎 and looked for pests? Also have you checked the roots to make sure they're healthy? Or if some are smelly and squishy? What is your soil like? Is it chuncky? Or dense? Sorry about ALL the questions but i can't tell whats really going on with the plant in this picture..

No actually I haven't checked for bugs haven't checked the roots its chunky mixed with perlite

The soil looks very healthy

The woman i got it of says that she was having problems with it too

Should I remove the plant and check the roots maybe the soil is too compacted
