I just repotted the snake plant last week. I’ve had the tall one for a couple of years. I wanted a much bigger one so I bought a small 4” one that ended up being 5 separate plants. Do you think they are too cramped in this pot? Should I repot to a slightly bigger one? Does the snake plant like being cramped?

I've heard they do like to be a little tighter in their pots. I've even seen photos from situations where people had to break their pots to repot the snake plant inside 😬😅

To me, this looks like a good repot job for your snake plant. I only have one and have only repotted it once, but I'd have been glad if it came out looking like this.

Agree with Rhus! They like to be a little cramped. Great job!

Everyone thanks so much. I really didn’t want to have to repot.

Looks like you did a great job with repotting it! 😃 They like getting rootbound between repottings and being more snug in their pots, so as long as you “repot it” by just gently removing some of the old soil and replacing it with fresh cactus mix to provide new nutrients to work with at least once a year, I think your new snake plants should treat you just fine 👍 Keep up the good work!

I’ve had my snake plant for over a year and it looks very similar to how yours is situated. Never repotted and it’s been thriving.

I am hoping, thanks all
