# I am about to move houses and I am worried about my plants being…

I am about to move houses and I am worried about my plants being shocked by the sudden change. Any advice on both moving plants and acclimating them to a new environment would be greatly appreciated!

I packed my plants by size into open boxes and stuffed hand towels and socks between them to prevent them knocking each other. I put the boxes on the backseats and put hampers and luggage in the foot area so the boxes couldn’t slide off the seat. For acclimating them, I tried to mimic their old environment as best as possible and then slowly transitioned them into the new one (so plants originally in an east window go into an east window and then get acclimated to wherever their forever home will be in your new place).
