Does anyone else use blood meal in their soil? I started adding a little to mine. The plants seem to like it but it sure makes the soil smell weird.

That's normal, to minimize the smell: water well and mix the blood meal in the soil  
Mix it in: The best way to reduce the lingering odor is to thoroughly mix the blood meal into the soil right away, rather than leaving it on the surface.  
Water well: Water the area immediately after mixing to help the product start breaking down and integrating into the soil. The smell usually dissipates significantly within a couple of days.

I just started using it about a month ago. It does smell but doesn’t last to long.
