# My orchid lost all its flowers and has been a stick for a couple…

_Publicado por Alexandra el 2024-05-10_

My orchid lost all its flowers and has been a stick for a couple months. I know they go dormant so I was being patient.

I’ve notice a second arm started to grow but going the wrong direction! I turned her around so her arm can move the other way (I’m assuming it’s stretching towards the sun, that’s why it’s doing a curve now lol)

I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to handle her new arm, I’ve tried moving it a bit to hold it down but she’s study and I do not wanna snap her.

Will I eventually have to get her, her own bendy pole on her side.. not sure…

Next time you can cut the stem to the plant and it’ll shoot a new stem up, which is easier to control

I don’t cut stems off until they’re dead and dry. Personally I’d just let it do its own thing because that’s where your flowers are going to bloom

I want to leave it but I really don’t want it all over lol I think I’m stuck until she goes dormant again
