I’m just curious about some of the instructions. If my plant soil is not dried out and I have instructions to fertilize it, should I go ahead and fertilize it or wait until it is dried out more and fertilize it when it would normally be watered?

The latter. If you fertilize in water, do it when the plant needs water anyway. Just snooze the fertilizer!

You can also poke holes in the soil to help it dry faster!
