# Is it time for me to repot my tradscantia? I’ve been waiting for…

Is it time for me to repot my tradscantia? I’ve been waiting for Planta to tell me when but I’m not sure if I can wait for it any longer. The plant isn’t able to stand up on its own so I think it’s time.

In my experience planta isn’t the most accurate on saying when to repot. I normally repot earlier or later than planta suggests based on behavior of my plants.

Needs more light. Could probably use a bigger pot, but that is not necessary at this point because now I think you should be focusing on getting the internodes closer.. or having more nodes in general.. before the plant becomes top heavy.. and then chop and propagate. Plant in the same pot

It was getting bushy up there and the stems couldnt support the weight

So i gave it a good haircut

Dont be scared to do this as they grow really fast!

Ahh, and also, i dont think they’re really meant to be self-heading, so growing them tall isnt really an option.
