# Hey guys! Looking to grow an olive tree from a seed but I don't know…

Hey guys! Looking to grow an olive tree from a seed but I don't know how to find an olive seed. I've tried whole foods stores for non-pitted olives but I haven't found any. Any tips on where to look, even if its a sappling?

Your best bet, if you can't find one at a local garden centre, is online.

Willis orchard company looks trustworthy and has a decent selection and price for saplings. The germination rate is pretty low for olive seeds, so unless you really want to grow them that way, I'd recommend using a sapling to start

I don't know if seedcult on Etsy carries olive seeds, but you could always message her and ask. The seeds I've gotten from her so far have been excellent. I can't recommend seedcult enough.
