# Name some hard to find plants that you were surprised you saw at…

_Posted by Doll on 2024-03-02_

Name some hard to find plants that you were surprised you saw at those big stores? I want to have something to keep an eye out for! I’m new to plants and want to add new babies to my shelves, I still have space. Or plant suggestions for a semi new plant mom. Thank you.🤍🪴

I really have a passion for succulents and cacti, and I would recommend a succulent called tongue aloe. It is like aloe Vera but smaller and more textured. Just make sure your kid doesn’t get his/her hands on it, because it is toxic if ingested. Typically gets around a half foot tall when grown up. If you want a bigger, more practical plant, you can get an aloe Vera plant. You can harvest the inside jelly and help your baby’s skin stay healthy, and prevent/treat any diaper rashes. Hope this helps, and happy parenting! ;)

I got a large philodendron Brasil, a tradescantia Baby Bunny Belly and a syngonium all in hanging baskets from the Home Depot’s clearance racks at the end of summer. They were $10 each!
