Hi all! I just got this baby Monstera. I’ve been obsessed and wanting one for so long that when I saw her I completely forgot to check if she was toxic to my kitty’s. This app says yes and chatGPT say yes but that it’s not likely to kill them. Has anyone had experience with a cat eating these before (it’s the leaf that’s toxic) and how did that work out for you? Please let me know before I have to get rid of her😞

I have a cat and several plants that are toxic and some plants that are cat safe. My cat only goes near and chews on the cat safe ones. I don’t know if all cats do this but she seems to know which ones are safe for her.

My older cat does well with plants. We got a 4mo cat and he’s wanting to eat everything. I’ve been using a spray bottle and that seems to help. ChatGPT said it makes them drool and tummy aches, etc but not deadly.

If your cat does get sick from any plants real charcoal is the way to go, it pulls poison out of the system

Make into a powder, get it into their stomach, make sure it’s real charcoal and not that store bought crap, it contains chemicals that would be very bad, go out and get a stick lighting on fire till it charcoals, grind that into a powder make cat eat it, won’t be fun but it will save its life
