# Hello everyone how I’ve had this croton for just about a year and…

Hello everyone how I’ve had this croton for just about a year and it’s grown really well, then there was a lapse of care for a while and it was underwatered and it dropped a lot of the top leafs. Then once I started better care again a new leaf tried to grow from the stem. Now the stem is dying and it looks like it’s trying to make three new stems. Should I cut the dry one and try to encourage center growth or let the plant figure it out?

cut the dry bit away. this could be new stems or just leaves, crotons often grow multiple leaves at once but they only unfurl one by one.
