# I’ve had this Thia Constellation now for half a year at least, I…

I’ve had this Thia Constellation now for half a year at least, I repotted several months ago, and she hasn’t produced any new leafs, although her leaves have got bigger in diameter! I tied her up a bit at the base cause I didn’t want her to grow out. Is my pot too big? I fertilizer and water roughly 10-14 days-ish. Her soil is getting a bit mouldy. How can I stop that? I am so impatient, it’s been months of nothing! 😂🫠🥰🫶🏻

The leaves are good size but still no fenestrations. So my best guess would be, it needs more light. That may also account for lack of new leaves. Mold on soil is usually caused from excess moisture and/or poor air circulation.

I can move it up from where it is, onto my table and it will get more light there! This is where it was before, and it did produce leafs, but when I repotted it had stopped! 🙏🏼🫠

They are slow growers without fertilizer just give it time I'm sure you will get a new leaf soon it also coul be focusing on producing roots instead of leafs

Yes I would remove the mold with a spoon

Fertilizing for sure, and will remove mold! 🙏🏼🥰

They really prefer a chunkier soil as well. That would probably eliminate the mold. They are also prone to root rot, so a chunky soil helps prevent that.

This is a great suggestion! Do you think it would disturb her if I changed the soil? I always get scared! 🙈😂

Well of course its always going to disturb them a bit but with a healthy plant, I rarely see any outward signs. You could just wait until your next repot too. I've noticed faster growth in some of my plants after I switched them to a chunky soil, but like TheLittleLeaf said, it could just be focusing on roots instead of leaves right now.

Perfect, thank you so much! I grabbed some good quality chunky mix “Molly’s Aroid Mix”, so I may wait a bit longer, just to make sure I don’t disturb her! 🫠🙏🏼
