# Hello All! New to the plant mommy world. How can I get my peace lily…

Hello All! New to the plant mommy world. How can I get my peace lily to stand up straight? Also, how often should I water it and do I use any fertilizer mixture in the water? Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated 😊

such a beautiful lily!! i have a smaller one so my tips may not 100% apply, but they like staying generally moist. i’m an underwaterer, so if i see the leaves drooping that tells me i should soak it.  
my peace lily is in a 6” pot, and i water it about once a week, maybe every week and a half (i live in a really humid environment)

i like to fertilize once a month or every other month in the spring and summer, but i also know many people that don’t use fertilizer at all!

Ok. This helps. So whenever the leaves droop I should water? I’ve heard that before but I just want to make sure I don’t overdo it.

looks beautiful! peace lillies are tough but once they get settled, they show off. check the soil, i wait until the top two inches are dry. (so far its the only plant on the planta cycle that needs watering on time in my house) i usually wait until she droops just a tad bc she can get dramatic but i don’t want to shock.  
i water thoroughly, prune, and leave her alone. good luck!

It’s beautiful! I don’t have a Peace Lily but the basic rules applies to all plants if it needs more water or a pot upgrade. I think the pot is too small for this plant and leaves are trying to expand. This happen to my monsters there normally stand straight but I notice it’s was growing and it was looking droopy. So I went ahead and upgraded the pot and it’s doing well now.
