# Hi everyone!! Random question.. does my money tree look like it needs…

Hi everyone!! Random question.. does my money tree look like it needs to be repotted?? It looks quite large for the pot that it’s in (it’s still in its original nursery pot from when I got it over a year ago) but the roots don’t look like they’re crowded??

Possibly a soil refresh because that soil looks a bit compacted but I wouldn’t recommend upsizing yet.

if you’re fertilizing periodically it should be fine. it wouldn’t hurt to size up but only one size, and it probably doesn’t really \*need\* it yet

I have heard that these have a band at the base, often under the soil. The one I bought did, and when I took it off, it got bigger quickly.  
I don’t think a nice ceramic pot with new soil would hurt. 🪴

The soil definitely looks dense so I will keep the same size but do a soil refresh, thank you for your suggestions!!!
