# what should i do for my poor english ivy? i feel like there might be…

what should i do for my poor english ivy? i feel like there might be some new growth coming in but i cant really tell. should i give up? i could also trim it down to the base potentially and see if that helps. let me know if anyone has any advice!

I would trim closer to the dirt, try and leave at least one or two nodes (where leaves previously grew from) it’ll force new buds to emerge quicker!

As long as the stem is flexible/not shriveled or crispy, it'll probably survive. You can reduce watering until it makes new leaves; it won't drink as fast without them
