# Hey yall! I bought this plant arrangement as is (already in this pot)…

_Publié par Brilgle le 2024-03-26_

Hey yall! I bought this plant arrangement as is (already in this pot) on Facebook marketplace, the plants honestly have been thriving lately with a better watering schedule and fertilizing schedule...should I separate these plants?? There was a snake plant in it that I pulled and repotted separately today.

Corn plant, ZZ plant, and two pothos vines on each side (?)

If I repot these, how should I take charge with the pothos since they're just singular vines? I'm scared because they have been producing a lot of new growth which is why I'm tempted to keep it as is, but it does seem to have some kind of mites or something in the soil. But was thinking if I don't repot, watering with a mosquito dunk tea the next handful of times watering it. (Tried to get different angles to show pothos locations, issues with corn plant)

i would definately separate the ZZ out, as it follows a succulant kind of watering schedule. im not sure about the corn plant, but it might be ok to leave it with the pothos.

get the ZZ in a well draining succulant soil, and water when completely dry. the little potato things on the roots store water, which is why they dont need water that often.

if you want the pothos to be more full but are worried about the growth, you can take the vines and lay them down on the top of the soil, and they should root on their own!

also, make sure the pots are no bigger than 1-2 inches bigger than the root balls of the plants! good luck and have fun!

ZZ plants and pothos require entirely different care. I personally would prop up the pothos so you can grow a fuller plant. 😊

Wonderful!! Thank you! That's how I felt...I have a separate golden pothos that I water every 1-2 weeks and everything I read about the zz plant watering schedule made me uncomfy with it being in the same pot with a pothos. Thank you!
