# Hi! Any thoughts on how/when to use hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl…

Hi! Any thoughts on how/when to use hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl alcohol with plants ?? I’ve taken propagated plants out of my prop box after a month or so of propagating and most of the plants are healthy and rooted, but there was definitely mold in the box so things are not smelling great. I don’t want mold to grow on the plants when I plant them, but I don’t want to misuse chemicals and accidentally kill my plants 😵

I spray 70% hydrogen peroxide on the roots \& then plant, I don’t wash it off or anything. You can also wash the baby plants with some dawn dish soap too

Hydrogen peroxide - treats root rot, kills pest egg/larvae in soil, treats fungus/mold

Isopropyl alcohol - kills pests on leaves/stems

I’ve heard mixed things about using isopropyl alcohol on mold.
