# I’m looking for some kind of statement plant that will grow large…

I’m looking for some kind of statement plant that will grow large like the one circled in the photo. I want something that will grow outwards, rather than upwards, and take up space (no snake plants, etc). I want to place it on top of a credenza I have (see other photo). However, it’s a lower light spot. Any suggestions? Thank you!

It might be fine, but I know pothos are ok in low light. Read it wrong 😅

You can put a monsterra there you'd just need a strong grow light

One or two big snake plants would look nice. Low maintenance and don’t require a lot of light

A philodendron choco empress may work for you. Leaves are huge. It’s vining so will need a trellis. It was so small when I got this past summer. Beautiful plant. I had to move it to the family room. I’ll be getting rid of it when spring arrives.

It’s actually under a strong grow light. But the damn thing is so wide the light can’t hit it all.

Palms. Some of them will do great in a lower light spot and kind of spread out as they grow!

That looks similar to my Split Leaf Philodendron. I rescued it last Spring when it was on deaths door so all that growth is in about 6 months.

PS: The 1st pic was in full Southern exposure. It got so big I had to move it so I have it under a standing grow light.
