# Help!! i recently got this monstera and she’s not looking to happy,…

Help!! i recently got this monstera and she’s not looking to happy, it doesn’t need water or anything, and how should i stake it to help support the leaves when there’s only two. Does she need a smaller pot as well? i don’t feel roots til about half way into the pot. any tips appreciated!

The advice I got when I received mine was to not stake until aerial roots, but with that lean maybe stake behind the main part (on the right).

That being said I am new to monsteras so if someone with more experience says otherwise, listen to them!

Monsteras have a front and back. If you want to use a moss pole or trellis to anchor to, you need to place it at the back of the plant where the nodes are.
