I have this nerve plant, it’s fairly young and in a small pot. Planta has me watering it almost every other day, I read they do like water but I’m afraid it will overwater it, even though planta has yet to steer me wrong on my watering schedule I’m still skeptical.

Is it normal to keep nerve plants pretty wet at all times?

Hello there! I have two nerve plants of my own and they are
💅✨DRAMA QUEENS✨💅
Make sure she is on partly shady partly sunny environment. I have never watered mine every other day. Personally, that is too much water. With these beauties, I would do the bottom watering method, that way they soak up the amount of water they want. I do, every 2-4 days. Or whenever she looks dry. You’re supposed to let their soil dry out between waterings.

Thank you! I felt like every other day was excessive

What does the watering suggestion say? Does it say to let the top of the soil dry out? If so, before you water put your finger in a little bit and if it’s still wet snooze the alarm.

Planta says to water it “just the right amount” but a google search told me to keep her well watered

I’ve never seen it say that. How would someone know what the right amount is? lol, usually it says something like this, on my Chinese money tree it says once a week in April and that the top layer should be dry.

They are definitely my thirstiest plants! But yeah, the summer schedule is often a bit too frequent. I will second the suggestion to bottom water it. Also keep it in these plastic liner pots. You can become adept at judging the thirst level just by the weight of it, without having to dig through the soil to feel it.

I don’t bother snoozing it, I just let leave it undone until I water it.

So glad I asked before I drowned her to death
