# Do you mist all your plants, as the app suggests, or just some? Just…

Do you mist all your plants, as the app suggests, or just some? Just when a leaf is stuck?

I have never been a mist-er (or a mister...lol) but will if it really is in the plants' best interest.

Get to know you of the day: do you top or bottom water?

I top water personally. Also not sure about the misting.

My plants are doing so much better since I started bottom watering. Makes me less likely to overwater and I rarely see a gnat. As for misting. I did it faithfully for a while because I live where it’s really dry. Got tired of doing that and went to pebble trays to create humidity. Now I do nothing. I see no difference in any of my plants whether I did something or not 🤷‍♀️

For me I bottom water my succulents only and top the rest

I stopped misting, haven’t noticed a difference. Only thing I mist is my airplants because that’s how they get their water/nutrients.

And I bottom water everything, with the occasional top water to flush.

I top water unless the plant shows a definite preference the other way. Most of my plants like high humidity, so i mist about once every three days. (Unless they have moss, which is a diva that wants to be misted almost every day.) I do tend to be careful with aim when misting because my orchids and some of my others don't like getting certain parts wet at all

I will occasionally mist new leaves that are unfurling, more so philodendrons that look like they need some help. Most of mine love higher humidity, I have humidifiers. Bottom water succulents and top water the rest.

I’ve got one plant that wants more humidity so I’ve been misting it. No idea if it’s working. When I water outdoor plants in pots, I sort of sprinkle water on the top so it feels like it’s raining on them, so that’s kind of like misting! I think it helps.
