how do you guys polish your plants? i’ve seen people dilute captain jack’s deadbug and/or castile soap, but other people insist on just water. i’ll be using a spray bottle and a microfiber cloth.

I never polish or use leaf shine products. Some products, especially oily ones, can block pores on the leaves which block the transpiration process used by plants to remove excess water vapor.

I use a vinegar and water solution to remove hard water stains and fertilizer salts from the leaves. I use Dawn dishwashing soapy water to remove dirt, snail trails and my neighbor’s yellow oak tree pollen that covers all my patio and plants in yellow snow.

Neem oil, good for bug repellent too
