# I accidentally snapped a Zz stem off of my plant, should I toss it or…

I accidentally snapped a Zz stem off of my plant, should I toss it or is it worth propagating?

When it comes to propagating, I know you can from the leaves, or the rhizomes themselves. But my question is, can you just pop the whole stem in water?

Sure can! I’ve done it a few times, just make sure it is a clean cut and that you let the end callous over before placing in water. Be prepared that it will take forever.

Okay! Thank you a bunch!! I had a feeling it would take awhile, I feel like I might have read that somewhere before. Haha! It can just live or die with the rest of the propagations around my house 😂😂😂
