# I am adding a few of my mother’s plants from her house as a separate…

I am adding a few of my mother’s plants from her house as a separate “room”. I’ve been able to add 4 because I know what they are. Can you please help with the identify the 5th. I have 4 sisters and I want to make sure we’re all on the same page.

Looks like kalanchoe. The leaves are usually darker with the leaf nodes closer together. 🪴🍀

You’re welcome. I recommend changing the soil and reducing the pot size to about half that diameter if the roots of the remaining plants will fit. This avoids root rot from the excess soil holding too much water on the roots that the plant can’t use up. The large gaps between the leaf nodes and the campsite of the newest leaves indicate the plant wasn’t getting enough light. 🪴🍀

I can’t edit my comment. I meant to state “The large gaps between the leaf nodes and the small size of the newest leaves indicate the plant wasn’t getting enough light.”😁
