It could be getting overwatered, that’s usually the most common reason that leaves turn yellow. But on the other hand, some sources say that yellow leaves are due to under-watering.

Watering imbalance. When watering, is she giving it a good soaking and allowing excess water to run through the drainage holes on the bottom? And how often is she watering?
