# Planta fertilizer explanation? Hi, I get recommendations from the app…

Planta fertilizer explanation?

Hi, I get recommendations from the app for adding fertilizer (which calls for mixing it with water) and separate watering recommendations. My concern is whether doing both will overwater my plants. Should I wait to fertilize until the scheduled watering? Does the watering schedule take into account the fertilizing?

I have plants dying from likely overwatering, so I want to be sure here.

When I fertilize I count it as watered too. Don’t water separately.

Yeah I count it as watering also and typically fertilize every 2-3 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) i stop fertilizing during the dormant season (fall and winter)
