Planta’s new winter schedule is killing my plants :(( it’s already killed a couple of them and others are dying badly. Planta has me watering them way less but they’re under a grow light and need just as much if not more water than before!! How can I fix this? I’m heartbroken over the plants I’ve lost and terrified to lose more. ## 7 comments ### Wolfen 🐺 commented on 2024-11-13 Sorry you lost some plants. Its definitely been doing some oodd things lately. I customed a few of my sensitive plants. You can go into each plant and create a custom care schedule. And change the watering to how ever often you'd like ### Alex commented on 2024-11-13 Oh wait I’m dumb haha I just figured out you can add grow lights to your plants and it changed the schedule. My bad. Wish I knew that before I lost like 5 plants. ### Soup commented on 2024-11-13 The app wants to help but it struggles, try not to stick to the schedule too much, each plant is different, and different environments affected your plants! ### Sunny commented on 2024-11-14 You should check the soil before watering to verify the plant needs water regardless of the schedule. Planta can’t determine or adjust for every variable in your environment that can affect your plant’s watering needs. ### Vincenza commented on 2024-11-14 I’ll be honest, I use Planta as more of an Archive for my plants rather than a schedule keeper- I have my own schedule for my plants and use Planta to give them little profiles and updates, I’d recommend creating your own schedule based on what works best with your plants ! ### Josie commented on 2024-11-14 PlantA reminders usually work for me as I’m diligent about telling it when I don’t actually need to water a plant or need to water it early. It’s more of a reminder not a set care regime. So it’s still a good idea to check you plants daily for water need and log it if you need to water early and skip watering if a plant is too wet. It’ll ask you if you watered because it was dry and if you skip a watering it asks if the plant is wet. It also now has a setting to tell it how many hours of grow light the plants receive. It will help it stay more accurate but it’s not 100% so keep an eye on your plants. Hope this helps good luck! ### Alex commented on 2024-11-14 Thank you everyone for your comments!!
