Hello I’m new here. I desperately need advice. I’m so mad at myself. My Jenny Craig was so green and beautiful (had her since she was a baby) she’s always been indoors. I use to live in west Texas dry heat then we moved to Houston in May of last year. It’s so humid here in the summer. Anyway a few days ago we had some beautiful weather (was not humid at all, just a nice cool day but not cold) so I thought hmmm I’m gonna put my baby outside to enjoy the weather. Then stupid me forgot her and at night it got to about 40 degree weather. Then a couple days later I went outside to water my plants and my Jenny Craig was looking like the picture I posted. I took her back inside to get her to recuperate. Will she get green again? If not do I cut all the yellow off to promote new growth? I don’t know what to do. I watered her and fertilized her yesterday (since she hadn’t had any fertilizer in a month). But her yellowing has nothing to do with overwatering or underwatering. She got like this because of the cold night weather. Remember she was totally green before I took her outside. Please help!!

I would not cut the yellow off. I would just wait and Hope. I don't think there's anything you can specifically do at this point. She's either going to make it or she won't. If she's going to recover, you will begin to see fresh growth at the top. When the top gets bigger you can gradually remove the damaged leaves below. I'm not sure if any of the lower leaves will regain their lush color. It may be that only the tips are damaged permanently.

I think you'll have to wait this one out. Remove anything that starts to be mushy, trim off any yellowing parts.
