Hi beautiful folks! Ive decided to become a plant parent after buying a house. We have these very sad looking bushes out front that id love to revive, I believe it’s a photinia fraseri but cannot confirm. Any/all tips appreciated✨💞

Not familiar with that plant, but I came here to congratulate you on buying a house! I was in my house 5 or 6 years before I delved into plant parenthood again. I have a rap sheet of crimes against plants. This app has helped me avoid plant abuse and neglect. 🤣

Red tip photinia can be trimmed. They are usually in hedges. It needs to be regularly trimmed to show the red leafed new growth and to make it fuller. Cut it back per the red circle. Cut it again a bit to make it branch more and fill  
In the center. Trim the dead wood.

Fertilize regularly. Mulch to minimize watering and to keep the roots cooler. 🪴🍀
