So I am new to plants. Like July of this year new lol anyways, I think I have a couple plants that may need repotting soon, and I am wondering about soil type because I have a variety of plant types. I know some plants like being root bound, some do not.

My gold dust croton is in a 3in nursery pot. He has exploded in growth and I’m having to do frequent watering as the soil is completely dry in about 3-4 days. Should it be repotted? Soil type?

My galaxy false aralia is also thriving in its 3in nursery pot lol. Also have the same frequent watering. My other plants do not dry out as fast. Should this one be repotted? Soil type?

If they're drying out that quickly, it wouldn't hurt to repot them. One to 2 inches bigger on the pot size would be fine. They could both use a well draining soil. I use 1/3 each of potting soil, perlite and orchid bark mixed together.
