This might be a silly question… but do I need to water my plants that have gone dormant for the year? My morning glories are starting do die down for the season, if I want them to come back for the spring should I water it through the winter as well? Or does nature just do its thing?

If these are outdoor plants, I do not water them once fall hits, they just get rain. I live in WA, we get plenty of rain

Are they in pots or in the ground? You have to water the one in pots to keep the roots alive. The ones in the ground can live off rain water like the uninvited ones in my yard. They reseed themselves.

They’re in pots! Should they be watered regularly or just every once in a while?

There should be a tuber associated with the root system. Treat it like the decorative potato vines. I water mine after the soil dries.
