# I have caught spider mites (early on, I think) in my front flower…

_Geplaatst door Amy op 2024-04-24_

I have caught spider mites (early on, I think) in my front flower bed! I’m treating as instructed with Neem oil once a week for 4-6 weeks. It looks like they’ve migrated up to the left side of my front porch so I’m thinking a preemptive strike is in order. Is it safe for me to treat the plants that don’t have evidence of pests yet? Surely it’s just a matter of time since they are close-ish

Using chemical methods as preventative control builds resistance to the treatment. I would only use it if you think the plant has pests, otherwise maybe just spray off the plants as a first method to try and prevent the spread.

I’m glad I asked. I just got everything planted. I panicked. Thank you!
