Just got this "money tree” today and there is a twist tie around the braided or twisted trunk. Question is, do I leave it or remove it??? Any advice appreciated.

It’s up to you. It’s just there to keep the trunks together. There’s probably a band around the bottom too, maybe beneath the soil.

There is most definitely band in the soil and it will kill it, so be sure to cut that one. The one up top is fine but make sure it’s not too tight

I have never thought to take mine off… I have had it for 2 years or so and it keeps growing. Doesn’t seem to be considering dying anytime soon 🤔
