# I have a quick question I live in New Orleans and it gets pretty hot…

I have a quick question I live in New Orleans and it gets pretty hot in the afternoon time. I have two beautiful Boston ferns that sit in the front of the house and it does get some direct sunlight. Do you all think that I should move them back to a shadier area or can they stay where they are?

Move them into the shade. They suck up a lot of water too. Depending on the kind of soil and the weather, you may have to water them even twice a day I'm assuming it's rather humid there so that should not be an issue.

Of course it depends on how long they're in the direct sun.
