# I have a question about grow lights. I’m looking for a single lamp…

I have a question about grow lights. I’m looking for a single lamp with a cord that I can hang from the ceiling over my giant monstera. She needs more light desperately! I’ve searched the local Walmarts and Home Depots but I’m not finding what I need. I’d like to find something locally before I search Amazon. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I was about to answer you, but the current grow light is am using is a small one. Then I remembered what I did this past winter for a couple of plants needing protection from our usual arctic blast we get i. Jan - Feb here in Savannah. We had aa floor lamp that was not in use so. It had two lights. One permanently upright to the ceiling, but the other had a crook neck so you could swivel it. We put a tiny heat light bulb, that i had, in the swivel light and managed to get it positioned with the plants in our garage. Plants did beautifully. My thought was - if you have an.overhead light (and the space to use) maybe that would help?

Thanks! I wasn’t planning on a floor lamp but I might consider it. 👍

I'm no expert but you can buy grow LIGHTBULBS, and put them in any lamp or ceiling light im pretty sure, allegedly! 😆 goodwill might have a good lamp that fits what youre needing.

You can get a pendant light that plugs in from Amazon and purchase a full spectrum grow light bulb. The 9 and 10 watt random ones that are cheap aren’t going to do much , but if you get a 20-30 watt sansi grow light and hang your pendant light with a ceiling hook and you will see it take off! I have several of these in ny living room. I also got a mini kasa smart plug and have the swag light plugged into it so I can set it on a timer I usually pick 7 am- 7 pm. It will get any other plants that you have as well close by . They are well worth the money.

They also sell plug in pendants at Home Depot in store
