Why is planta so water-happy?

Like it must always be monsoon season with the water schedule it gives. I sometimes wait 10 or 15 days after it recommends watering before I feel they are ready.

It’s nice to be reminded to go and check on a plant, but is there any way to make this more accurate?

I agree, I often have to snooze the reminders and just use them to check the soil to see if they actually need watering. Since following the water schedule on here, my peace lily ended up with fungas gnats, something it had never had before. I think you can customise your own schedule, within the settings for each plant.

I also agree!
Same with all the misting. Not all plants like it and hardly any need it.

There is an option to use a custom schedule instead of Planta’s advice. You can find it in change settings of the plant. It is important to make sure that you have all the information entered for the plant in order to get the best advice. When I initially started using Planta, I neglected to complete all of the plant information such as size, pot type, soil type, grow light, etc. Planta can produce an efficient schedule with proper information; however, you should only use it as advice and check each plant before watering.

But even then it’s so inaccurate, and my data is up to date, and I adjust it with progress updates or when I repot. Just wish it would take the hint and slow down the schedule a bit

It’s weird. With my Hoyas, it seems to be spot on. Totally dry when it says to water. Practically everything else I might be snoozing for a week. Some things I’ve changed to the custom schedule, others I’m trying to force Planta to update with the snooze, lol. I do have 2 plants now that the app is telling me I have a problem because my soil has been wet too long. That one bothers me because I’m still semi new to this and it’s not hard to make me question everything!

It's been glitching a lot lately. And was just told the snooze doesn't adjust the schedule for Android phones. So thats fun! Since it changed a bunch if my plants to a 2-3 day water schedule. I even switched all plants to fertilizer sticks to try and help fix it. No go

Even when I snooze with my iPhone I feel the schedule is never adjusted! It’s sooooo annoying

That's really crappy
