# Do you guys find the planta app watering schedule accurate? I tried…

Do you guys find the planta app watering schedule accurate? I tried to follow it since I tend to overwater my plants but then some of my plants were definitely showing stress signs from underwatering and weren’t due for water for a few more days

No I find that it usually suggests watering too often for most of my plants. There are a few that aren’t often enough though

It’s impossible for an app to be exact. I just accept it as a guide and reminder. Make sure the info is correct too. Sometimes repotting or relocating a plant will make a difference. If you need to water early, record in the app so it can adjust the schedule.

It can happens, it is important that you choose right parameters as pot size or type of soil. I have a few plants I setup the own schedule. Sometimes it is hotter sometimes not an Water evaporation is not regular thing, do not afraid water if plant needs it, set watered in planta and schedule will adapt it self

Yup I have the same problem with the app so I just check the plant with my finger and if it doesn’t need watering or if it needs watering I just snooze the reminder

This is the way. Give the plant water when it needs it and not by a strict schedule.

I use the app as a reminder and just hit check when it pops up to water. I have this plant too and just check with my finger if it needs watered or not lol. Leaves can curl like that due to overwatering too, not just underwatering. I'm having some leaf curling in mine right now too!

Use the app as a guide. It works as a great reminder to check on your plants, but it can’t know all the conditions in your house or garden.
